The Billings Gazette's Enjoy, in conjunction with Magic City Blues, is hosting the Enjoy Band Idol Contest. It is open to any Montana or Wyoming rock, blues, country or pop bands who have enough material to play a 90-minute set.
The winning band will receive a cover story in The Billings Gazette Enjoy and open for the award winning Chicago Mass Choir on Aug 14 at the Magic City Blues, South Park family festival. The top three bands will perform July 30 at the Yellowstone Valley Garage Pub.
Vote for your favorite band and you will be automatically entered into a drawing for 2 Magic City Blues tickets.
All eligible bands may submit a video from May 6 - June 17th. The field will then be narrowed to 8 - 12 finalists, and readers will vote online from June 24 - July 18. The top 3 bands will be announced in the July 22 Enjoy and will perform at the Yellowstone Valley Garage Pub on July 29. The winner, selected by a committee of experts, will open Magic City Blues Fest in South Park on August 14.
